Frequently asked questions about MT4 and MT5 being unavailable in the Apple app store

Q1: Are my funds safe and will I be able to access them?

Your funds are safe and fully accessible by you and are not affected by the unavailability of MT4 and MT5 in the Apple Store.

For clarity, your funds are deposited with regulated tier 1 banks and are traded with a duly regulated Equiti entity.

The MT4 and MT5 software provided by Metaquotes is merely the bridge trading platforms use for online trading.

Q2: I’m using my Apple mobile device to trade, will I be affected?

Existing Apple users are not affected by MT4/MT5 removal from the App store. You can still trade using your Apple mobile device, as long as you have MT4/MT5 installed on your mobile device.

If you have installed MT4/MT5 on your mobile device before, you can try these steps to reinstall them. Noting that we don't guarantee that these steps will work:

  1. From your Apple App Store, go to your account.

  1. Go to "purchased” and choose the "Not on this iPhone" tab.

  1. You'll find all the applications that were previously installed and reinstall them.

Q3: I’m trading using my android device, will I be affected?

Android devices' users/traders are not affected, only mobile devices that run on iOS are affected by this change. Noting that you can also access your account through the web version or desktop application of MT4/MT5.

Q4: Will I be able to open a demo account using my iOS mobile device?

If you wish to open a new demo account you can do so through the desktop application and web version of the MT4 and MT5. You can also login to MT4 and/or MT5 using an android mobile phone.

If you already have an open demo account, you can still access it using your Apple mobile device.

Q5: Will I be able to open a demo account using my android device?

Yes, you can open a demo account using any android device.

Q6: I couldn’t login to my MT4/MT5 account on my iOS mobile device?

You can still login to your account on your mobile device. Please note that the removal of MT4 and MT5 from the Apple App store doesn’t affect your account accessibility. Make sure you’re using your correct login credentials. If you haven’t logged in to your account for a while, you might need to reset your password.

Note: if you have previously installed MT4 and/or MT5 on your apple mobile device, you may be able to recall it following steps explained above.

Q7: Will approved trading accounts registered through an Apple mobile device be affected?

If you have registered your trading account using an Apple mobile device, you will not be affected. You can use your account login credentials to login to your account using an Apple mobile device, android device, desktop application or the web version of MT4/MT5, regardless of which device you have used to sign up for your account.

Q8: I haven’t logged in for a while, will I be able to login to my account?

The removal of MT4 & MT5 doesn’t affect your ability to login to your account. If you aren’t able to login to your account, make sure you’re using the correct login credentials. If you haven’t logged in your account for a while, you might need to reset your password. If you still can’t login to your account, contact our support team who are more than happy to assist you:

Q9: I forgot my password; will I be able to reset it?

The withdrawal of MT4 & MT5 doesn’t affect your ability to login to your account. If you’re not able to access your account, you can try reseting your password. If you still can’t login to your account, contact our support team who will be more than happy to assist you:

Q10: When I try downloading MT4/MT5 through the Apple App store, I get “App Not Available” message?

Due to the current withdrawal of MT4 & MT5 from the Apple App Store, you won’t be able to download the applications to your Apple mobile device. However, you can access your account using the web version and/or the desktop application, or through any android mobile phone.

Q11: Will this affect my deposits and withdrawals?

No, we process fund transfers through our own portals and are not affected by Metquotes. So, the current removal of MT4/MT5 from the Apple App Store won't affect any deposits or withdrawals or transfers of your money.
