  • European and US stocks are higher this afternoon despite the heightened political tensions between Western governments and Russia. Traders are shrugging off the sanctions against Russia.
  • Gold has pulled back from the 9-month high that was posted yesterday as risk-on sentiment dominates. Palladium and Platinum are higher as Russia is a major producer of those metals.
  • The New Zealand dollar is rallying as the Reserve Bank of New Zealand hiked interest rates by 0.25%.
  • The final reading of eurozone CPI came in at 5.1%, in line with expectations, and unchanged from the flash report. It is the highest-level record.
