David Davies, Brexit minister, made the following statement:

  • The European Commission has made itself looks silly because of its criticism of Brexit negotiations.
  • I think the UK will make some payments to the EU budget after leaving the union but in the medium to long term there will be no big payments.

At the same time, British Prime Minister Theresa May called on pro-EU Conservative MPs to unite when the lower house debate government's repeal bill next Thursday. The bill turns the EU law into legislation in the UK, m and some MPs fears that it gives ministers new powers.

On the other hand, the opposition Labor Party said it support the draft law principle, but at the same time will not allow the passage of more powers into the hands of ministers.
