Japanese Economy Minister Nishimara noted that the fallout from the Corona virus has already begun to appear on the economy. His most prominent statements were as follows:
There are many concerns about the impact of the virus on the global economy on the spread of infection in China, transport disruptions, canceling group tours from China and extending the lunar holiday
If the situation takes too long to calm down, we are concerned that it could harm Japanese exports, production and corporate profits by affecting Chinese consumption and production.
China is the second largest export destination in Japan.
