World Bank lowers its forecast for global growth

The World Bank reduced its forecast for global economic growth during the years 2019 and 2020, as follows:
• GDP growth expectations were reduced from 2.6% to 2.4%, "the lowest level since the crisis"
• Growth forecast for 2020 has been reduced from 2.7% to 2.5%.
• Emerging economies are expected to suffer in 2020, with GDP increasing 4.1% compared to 4.6% previously
• Growth in the less developed regions is well below the levels necessary to achieve poverty reduction goals
