China is refusing to use the domestic laws of a country to impose its control over other countries when the Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman was asked whether Huawei has violated US sanctions on Iran.

It also urged the United States not to do anything else that would harm the openness of international trade. US prosecutors in New York are investigating whether Huawei has violated US sanctions on Iran.

Since 2016, the US authorities have been investigating the shipment of US products to Iran and other countries in violation of export laws and US sanctions. The investigation comes after a series of US measures aimed at stopping or reducing Huawei the world’s largest smart phone maker access to the US economy.
