Germany's economic upswing is losing some momentum and growth outlook is clouded as a result of the trade dispute with the United States and the risks associated with Italy's new coalition government, the German Economy Ministry said.

In a monthly report by the Ministry of Economy, it was noted that private consumption and exports, the two main drivers of Europe's largest economy, are still on the upside.

The statement said that the foreign and trade policies of the United States and the formation of the Italian government increased the uncertainty and risks to growth, and expresses itself through wait and see approach, especially when it comes to investments.
