Japan's finance minister may not attend G-20 meetings

There is still some doubt that Taro Aso, Japan's finance minister, will participate in the Group of 20 meetings later this month in Buenos Aires, Argentina, following news of his role in the sale of land affair. Opposition parties called on Aso to resign.

On the other hand, Asakawa, Deputy Minister of Finance and International Affairs confirmed that the final decision on whether Aso will participate in the G-20 meetings will depend on the Japanese Parliament.
