Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the IMF, made the following statement:
- The IMF will remain somewhat involved in Greece, which will probably become clearer after June 21 meeting of Eurozone finance ministers.
- We are studying all possible options, but we will remain committed in one way or another with Greece.
- Threats to the global economy are on the rise as major industrial nations sharpen threats of a trade war.
The comments come after the G7 summit, in which Trump slammed his allies and withdrew from supporting the summit's joint statement, which drew criticism from Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
