Reuters poll on Australian interest rate decision

The latest opinion poll conducted by Reuters on 41 economists that there are 40 economists are unlikely to make any adjustments to the Australian interest rate at the meeting scheduled for May 1 to be maintained at 1.5%. No new actions may be taken until the end of 2018.

On the other hand, 19 economists believe that the Reserve Bank of Australia may start to adopt a tightening approach and raise interest rates to 1.75% from the March 2019 meeting, six economists with twice the rate hike, while 15 expect stable expectations. In the end, there are about 38 economists who see Australian interest rates by September at 2.0%.
