Germany is seeking to end the trade dispute between the United States and the European Union in the light of US President Donald Trump's decision to impose high tariffs on imports of steel and aluminum, Germany's Economy Minister said today.
He said he would discuss the matter with European Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström and US Trade Secretary Wilbur Ross at a meeting of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD (in Paris this week. The German economy minister also said there was an attempt to avoid an increase in tariffs.
