The British Prime Minister, Theresa May will meet U.S. president Donald Trump in New York on Wednesday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly to talk about the Brexit and possible bilateral trade deal, given the growing uncertainty about Brexit.

The trade deal with the United States is seen as an important means of helping offset the economic impact of leaving the EU in March next year. May’s government has long advocated freedom of such deals independently of the EU as the main economic benefit of Brexit.

During his visit to Britain earlier this year, Trump said the two countries could secure a trade deal after Brexit.
