RBC expects RBA to cut interest rates in 2020

RBC expects the RBA to continue its expansionary monetary policy while continuing to cut interest rates over the next two years. It is expected that the Bank will cut interest rates again in the first quarter of 2020, and in 2021 to reach 0.25%.
RBC experts pointed out that the economy may suffer a significant slowdown in the coming period, with GDP growth remaining above the trend set for the next 12-18 months.
